A battery is a device that stores chemical energy and converts it to electrical energy. The chemical reactions in a battery involve the flow of electrons from one material (electrode) to another, through an external circuit.The main function of a battery is to give power to a device or set of devices in applications where a mains power is unavailable or not required. Examples would be handled applications, portable, sensors, IoT and others applications requiring portability and/or standalone requirements.
